Kay: yeh it does seem that way, but praise God that we dont have to go though any of it in our own strength, God is in control

If there is anything that can help him to reduce the stress; it will be good to try. Example like listening to musics, a walk in the park etc.
He must has been struggling about his health condition; not sure of what to do if his eyes will get worst. During this time; his faith is being tested and he may feel offended easily when people ask him about his eyes.
Hmmm... may be you can give him a really big hug and thanks him for being your older brother. Make him feel that he is still needed and love. At least I hope he will not be so stressed.
Treat him like there is no problem with his eyes and continue to pray while we are supporting through prayers.

A lot of times when they get home from work the boys will go out and play paintball which they really like to do
as for the big hug, my family has never been one to give hugs ..so I may skip that

I know I sure miss my brother's hugs. He was here in June. Funny thing we never hugged much when we were younger.
Maybe your family will grow into it like mine did. I think they take you for granted when they are young. I was never much of a hugger until I moved into my 50s.
You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers, Nonni
