Prayer Room Rules

Prayer can be very powerful! This is why we like to push our prayer forum. With that said, here you can post your prayer requests! However, to keep things civil, we have a couple of very important rules.

No prayer requests can be made in The Prayer Room without the permission/request of the person or group that is being prayed for (discluding health reasons). Prayer requests for other parties (i.e. - Please pray for this person, they have emotional problems) can be posted in our Private Prayer Requests forum, only accessible by members of our Prayer Group.

Also, anything that is prayed about in our Private Prayer forum, shall remain private! Any copying-and-pasting, screen shots, or info shared outside of the private prayer room are not allowed. Any members who break these rules will have their SimSafe2 Prayer Group privileges permanently revoked.

Now that I've graduated, I've been looking for a job. It's been hard, of course, with the economy the way it is, just to get to the interview stage. There are lots of jobs to apply for but for a lot of positions that are usually easier to get, like retail, getting full-time work is a problem. Also, I want to go into a very competitive industry--publishing. Most entry level editing/publishing jobs are fairly low-paying and get lots of applicants. I did get a certificate, so I'm better trained than many trying for these positions, it's just hard...and odds are that even if I did, I'd be moving across country to New York. The furthest east I've been is Illinois, years ago, and that's scary!

So blah, blah, blah...I just need prayers for strength, and balance of mind, etc. Trust the Lord.

Also, I just needed to share, get it off my mind, because I'm very bad at it and don't too often, but it helps, so THANK YOU! I love you all ((((HUGS)))

Marta, all of best luck to you, you will get the job that is meant for you sooner or later and wherever it is, it's all part of bigger plan. I know it can be frustrating, scary too. for me after I gave up trying to find job, then few days later, I got phone call and was asked to come help on the special care class at our local school to help disabled kids to get thru schooldays, where I've been since september now and now I can see why I was guided there, it has helped me and my family loads and I have been able to help others more than I ever could think possible, it took 9 months for me to get that job after I started searching  so, hang in there lil sis you'll too get job that is meant for you http://www.simsafe2....tyle_emoticons/default/hug.gif/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /><' />

I agree with Ress, Marta :) I will keep you in my prayers. I will that God give you strength, balance of mind, and peace. Like you say just trust the Lord, He knows what is best for everyone of us. I pray that you do not have to wait very long :) http://www.simsafe2....tyle_emoticons/default/hug.gif/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /><' />

Marta, dear, when I first read your post I was not able to reply. However, I felt excited by the possibilities.

Knowing that you are God's child opens the Universe.

Did Abraham know he would be the founder of God's Chosen Nation?

Did the shepherd, David, know he would be a king?

Did Peter, the fisherman, ever dream he would be chosen to live next to the Son of God and become one of the foremost leaders in the Body of Christ?

The fact that you wrote your post about needing to trust, to be grounded and to remain balanced shows me that these desires of your heart have already been granted.

Sharing with us has given us opportunities, also. Thank you for letting us into your heart and giving us another need with which to approach God's Throne.

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd send out a little update.

I've had a 'are you serious' phone interview, and am supposed to get another one (I have to contact the recruiter if I don't hear back from the manager by Fri--but at least I know I can).

I also signed up to be a substitute teacher! Paperwork's almost finished, fingerprints are done, and I get the result of the TB test I took today on Thursday. I might be getting calls in two weeks! As weird as it might be at the high school, because my youngest brother is still a senior, I'm rather looking forward to it. :butterfly:

In the meantime, I started volunteering at the library. Just moving books for a couple hours a day so far, though I should get more interesting stuff soon (they have lots of need), but it gets me out of the house, which makes me feel better, and gives me great access to lots of books!

Thanks for your prayers! http://www.simsafe2....tyle_emoticons/default/hug.gif/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /><' />

I'll be praying for you, Marta. :birthday:

I'm glad you had no trouble with your fingerprints. They still have not been able to read mine and I had them done three times. They are having to do an FBI name search on me instead because I evidently have no prints. :butterfly: lol Anyhow, good luck and let us know the good news as soon as you hear it. :birthday: :birthday: :birthday:

Howdy, just checking in.

Good to hear of possibilities, marta, thanks for updating. You know as hard as I try not to miss any posts, I still do. What is the turn over rate for "View New Posts"

Kay, you have unreadable fingerprints. How very interesting - hmm. Maybe you have begun 'transformation', eh!?! :butterfly:
